For New friends: Lava Viewing: County Controlled Kalapana

July 22,23,2008.

WOW!!!! Grizzly Bear Sighting

From Many Glacier Hotel at Glacier N.P. folks would gather with long lenses and binoculars to see the mile away bear with his head in a bush and his butt in the air. His butt is the round ball in the center of the photo. More to come. For those that don't know, click on the photo to see a bigger butt.

Now the following Grizz was short yardage from the road and the rangers kept everyone on the opposite side of the road. We had to climb the bank to get a view of the bear in a hollow below the road. He was real close!

Beargrass Flowers-Glacier National Park

A very interesting flower for first timers, near the Many Glacier Hotel.
